Do you have a furry friend in the family?  April is National Pet Month which aims to encourage people to look after their pets responsibly while also highlighting the benefits of pets in people’s lives.  But how much does it all cost you?

From our latest survey responses 50% of our members have a dog, 14% have a cat, 9% own other pets and only 1% said they have a hamster/rabbit/guinea pig.

The average costs incurred of owning a dog over its lifetime range from £5,200 to £15,700!

  • Pet food between £200-£400.

  • Vaccinations £50-£150.
