It is with great pleasure the Harp and Crown Credit Union are announcing support of the fantastic local charity K9 Search and Rescue Northern Ireland.

K9 Search and Rescue NI are a professional all-volunteer canine Search and Rescue team. They specialize in providing certified area search (live victim) and Victim Recovery canines for coastal, urban, rural and disaster response in Northern Ireland.

Their work is vast and has been invaluable to local and global communities as of late.  Back in February, K9 Search and Rescue NI made the news headlines locally and internationally with their mission to help find missing loved ones amongst the Turkey Earthquake disaster.

It was heartening to see this great work being recognised at the recent Spirit of Northern Ireland Awards.  A huge congratulations to K9 Search and Rescue NI winning the 999 Hero Award, very well deserved!

Given the huge costs associated with specialist training and search operations, the Harp and Crown Credit Union wanted to help in some way by donating £500 to the charity.  Funds will go towards sponsoring a K9 Search and Rescue NI dog training event.

“On behalf of the Harp and Crown Credit Union, and as a police family organisation, we fully appreciate the important and vital work of K9 Search and Rescue NI.  We are very humbled to be able to support such a great charity.”

Ryan Gray (Team Leader and Founder) K9 Search and Rescue NI said:

K9 Search and Rescue would like to take this opportunity to thank the Harp and Crown Credit Union for their generous donation. This will be used towards our forthcoming training and CPD (continuous personal development) event in conjunction with our external assessors in the UK.   This donation, as with others, will allow us as a team to continue to develop and perform at the highest level, and ultimately save and return more of those lost or missing to their loved ones.”
